![]() This wouldn't be too bad if so much of the game weren't taken up by walking from Point A to Point B. While the barren environment isn't necessarily screaming to be explored in an open-world sort of way, it still feels as if you're sort of herded where the game wants you to go. You're constantly pushed in specific directions to continue the story. For starters, the game is pretty linear in its direction. While there's a lot of potential in the premise of the game, in execution things fall apart a bit. It's an interesting idea with a lot of promise, as you struggle not only to discover what's happened to the planet but whether or not you're simply losing your mind. The game is eerie in its presentation, leaving you to wander through the wasteland seeing only the ruins of something that was here before you. That's the core theme of Lifeless Planet. The harshness of the environment not only playing on your body, but on your mind as well. Now imagine being the last living thing on another planet. People often wonder what it might be like to be the last living man (or woman) on Earth. How can I get out of this loop, without endangering weeks of gameplay? I was doing pretty well.Ī fantastic game, by the way, I cant stop playing it.The concept of this adventure title is striking and seems as though it would keep one's attention, but it winds up falling a bit flat over the course of the game. But nit this time - It drops me right back in the same spot, between the two plumes - with only ONE BOULDER. Then in desperation, I tried going to Last Checkpoint (which usually works fine). I have tried allowing myself to die, but every time I come back I still only have ONE BOULDER. ![]() I was then left with just ONE BOULDER, and i can only cover up ONE of the two plumes - so, I cannot proceed. ![]() Something curious happened to me, when I was placing the boulder onto the FIRST plume of fire, I pushed it too hard, and it went over the edge. I made my way through to the area where there are two boulders, and two plumes of fire, and I learned later on that you are supposed to cover up one plume of fire, then the next - at which point the tower will fall and you can proceed. I've been playing Lifeless Planet (and very little else) on my PS4, for several weeks now, and recently arrived in the Inferno area. I will be sure to warn my friends not to get this. To the Developer: Nice try but i think you failed to make a game, more of a test of patience(a test i failed because i couldnt bring myself to torture myself by playing that game any longer). Please everyone of the world just pass this game by, its not worth your money, maybe if it comes on sale for 5 dollars on steam and you just happen to have five dollars that you were gonna use for toilet paper, then and only then would you not be wasting you money. The "need" for air is just an obnoxious game mechanic added in to give something more to do then walk around(that something more being dying).Īll in all its a bad game that handles like its angry at you. The Robot hand just serves as a way to add a feature into the game so to make the game seem more involved, but it fails miserably and just adds a few tedious seconds to what should happen pretty fast.įollowing the girl is just plain stupid, she out paces you easy untill the part she becomes your travelling companion, and from then on shes slow as molasses. The frame rate drops dramaticly in dusty areas. The plant life that act as platforms is glitched to kill you even after you get off it. It was the kind of platforming that i believed couldn't exist, its that bad. The platforming was the worse iv ever seen, im serious too. Graphics could have been toned down a bit so the game would run smoother. Iv seen more interesting storys in childs picture books. Jumping handles like your character is a stick with feet who bounces off of walls and objects. 20$ because thats what it costs, and another 10$ because i spent a few hours playing the game i wont get back. I got the game via one of my steam accounts and i am sorry to say i want my 20 dollars back, actually i want 30 dollars back.
